When and where we meet
We have a NEW MEETING PLACE for 2020. Starting February 5th 2020 we no longer meet at the Wagon Works Club.
We meet at 8.00pm on the first Wednesday of each month at:
Hardwicke & District Royal British Legion Branch & Club,
Gloucester, GL2 4QA
The TRF generally meets in the Function Room. If the vehicle park is full there is parking in Green Lane and generally in Hardwicke Village Hall (next ‘door’ along Green Lane).
At each meeting we will discuss rights of way matters, website & facebook matters, rides and events recently completed, upcoming rides and events as well as any other specific issues such as feedback from national meetings. Then there is a social natter about whatever you like. The marked up maps are available to look at (OS Landranger 162 & 163).
The meeting normally takes about 1 hour and members stay talking for up to another hour or so. The December meeting is an AGM.
Directions to Hardwicke RBL Club if you need them:
From M5 J12 (the one with Dobbies Garden Centre and the waste incinerator) go towards Gloucester (on B4008 Bath Road). After about 800 metres arrive at Cross Keys roundabout (on left is MacDonalds and BP garage with Marks & Spencer). Take 3rd exit ahead onto A38 dual-carriageway heading towards Gloucester (NOT 2nd exit A38 away from Gloucester). After about 150 metres pass turn-off into Quedgeley West Business Park, then after about 300 metres take next turn-off – a ‘slip road’ going uphill signed ‘Quedgeley’. About 100 metres after brow of hill take first turn-off into ‘Green Lane’ (can only see back of sign until turn into the road). The Club is about 200 metres along on the right. There are large red signs. Vehicle parking is around three sides of the building.
From Gloucester come along the A38 to the Cross Keys roundabout and pick up directions.
When leaving the Club – suggest turn left out of the vehicle park, at the give way at the end of Green Lane turn right. After about 150 metres fork left and the road goes over the top of the A38 dual carriageway, continue for about 700 metres, and arrive at the Cross Keys roundabout.
