Membership... Why would I want to join the Gloucestershire TRF?

Here's what you get:

  • A warm welcome at club night each month.
  • Tips on bike selection and maintenance.
  • Advice on making your bike as quiet as possible.
  • Advice on riding skills and falling off skills.
  • Invites to organised rides on Gloucestershire's finest unsealed roads.
  • Access to maps so you can plan your own routes.
  • Fun and frolics at group events organised from time to time.
  • Access to ride as a marshall at horse trials/endurance events.
  • A warm glow from the knowledge that you are keeping our unsealed roads open for use.

We count amongst our members ladies and gents of all ages. A few of us are (or claim to be) fit, highly skilled and experienced. Others are lardy hackers and proud of it. Most of us fall somewhere between these two extremes. And we have a healthy 'learner' contingent including many who had never ridden unsealed roads or owned trail bikes before joining us.

If you've got any questions, or want to get a better feel for who we are, what we're like and what we do, feel free to browse the events pages, or call Geoff Wilkie (contact details on the Committee page). And if you really want to eyeball us, why not come to one of our monthly club nights?

OK, I'm convinced... How do I join?

As a TRF-affiliated club, to join us you apply direct to the TRF. Get the application form here, pay them £30 (or £45 for a joint membership, or £300 for a life membership), and they will look after the administration from there.

Then come to the Glos club night and hand over your fiver to us!
